Agents & Camera Configuration

LPR Cameras are the backbone of data collection for Rekor Scout. These cameras and the software installed on them are referred to as Agents. To easily access the list of Agents, click View Details on this panel will redirect you to the Agents page where you can configure and rename your agents.

A list of all active and inactive agents is shown in the detailed view of the Cameras menu. A green thumbs up represents active status and a red thumbs down depicts inactive status. This is the easiest way to check whether your cameras are actively reading plates.

Agent Name

The agent name can be changed to customize the order of cameras. Examples of naming schemes include specific location, cross streets, or an address. To change the name of the agent, click the agent name and a new window will open.

Click the “X” (gray circle background) inside the box to clear the current name and enter the new name. Click the checkmark to save.

Agent Configuration

On the Agents screen you can view the current video stream and agent status. Additional functionalities include adding a new video stream, changing agent parameter settings, and reviewing the current live agent log by clicking the Configure button for a specific agent. Unused agents can be removed with the Delete button in the same box.

If you encounter an error with the agent connection, restart the system and check the connection shortly after. If the error persists, contact Rekor Support by opening a support ticket: https://help.rekor.ai/kb-tickets/new
