Online Licensing

Pre-Registered

This option applies if you already have a registered Rekor Scout® account on cloud.openalpr.com with an active Rekor Scout paid subscription plan or paid license.

1. Select “Rekor ALPR” on the main menu and go to the “Licensing and Data” page.

2. Enter your email address (same as the one used to log in on cloud.openalpr.com).

3. Enter your password.

4. Click Register.

5. A successful registration message will be displayed.

New Registration

This option applies if you do not have a Rekor Scout® account on cloud.openalpr.com or do not have a Rekor Scout paid subscription plan or paid license.

1. Create a Rekor Scout™ account at https://cloud.openalpr.com/account/register

2. Follow the default sign-up wizard for Scout. Detailed instructions for selecting a subscription plan are available in our Rekor Scout™ documentation.
3. Return to the Rekor Edge Pro Configuration Dashboard.

4. Select “Rekor ALPR” on the main menu and go to the “Licensing and Data” page.

5. Enter your newly created credentials.

6. Click Register.

7. A successful registration message will be displayed.

Offline Licensing

This option applies if the system will be used in offline mode without an internet connection.

1. If you have not already done so, use the form below to contact our Sales team to purchase an On-Prem Rekor Scout® License.

2. Upon successful purchase, or if you already have an On-Prem Scout License, visit https://license.openalpr.com to register your license.

3. Sign in with the credentials our Licensing team provided you with via email or use the credentials you created for yourself.

4. Upon successful sign-in, click on the "Register" page.

5. You will be presented with a list of licenses you have purchased and will want to select "On-Prem Scout License" from the "Select a Product" dropdown menu.

6. Open the Rekor Edge Pro Configuration Dashboard in a new window or tab.

7. Select “Rekor ALPR” on the main menu and go to the “Licensing and Data” page.

8. Click the “Legacy Offline Key” tab.

9. Copy the "System ID"

10. Return to the Register License page on license.openalpr.com.

11. Paste the System ID you just copied into the free text field.

12. Enter "1" for the Number of Licenses.

13. Check the box to Agree to the Terms of Service.

14. Click Register.

15. Upon successful registration, you will be provided a License Key.

16. Copy the License Key.

17. Return to the "Licensing and Data" page in the Rekor Edge Pro Configuration Dashboard.

18. Paste your License Key in the free text field.

19. Click “Apply”.

20. A successful registration message will be displayed.
